Getting Started
What is Spray and Play?
Spray and Play is a gamified yield platform where you deposit (spray) capital into trenches with different durations, earn returns (typically 1.5x), and boost your earnings by completing tasks. It combines DeFi yield mechanics with gaming elements.
How do I get started?
1. Sign up with Google — One-click authentication
2. Choose a username — Pick your unique handle
3. Set withdrawal wallet — Configure where payouts go (CRITICAL!)
4. Get deposit address — Platform generates addresses for you
5. Send funds — Deposit crypto to the platform
6. Spray capital — Deploy into trenches from your balance
7. Earn yield — Automatic payouts to your withdrawal wallet
See our Quick Start Guide for details.
Do I need to complete KYC?
No. Spray and Play is permissionless. You only need a Google account to sign up.
Which wallet should I use?
For your withdrawal wallet (where payouts are sent):
- MetaMask — Most popular for EVM chains
- Phantom — Great for Solana
- Rabby — Enhanced security features
- Jupiter — Advanced Solana wallet
You don't connect a wallet to use the platform — you set a withdrawal address to receive funds. See Wallet Setup for details.
Is there a mobile app?
Not yet. Spray and Play is currently web-only, but the site is fully mobile-responsive. Use your wallet's built-in browser (MetaMask Mobile, Phantom) for the best mobile experience.

Spraying & Trenches
What is "spraying"?
Spraying is our term for deploying capital into a trench. When you spray, your funds are added to the reserve pool and committed for the trench's duration.
What are trenches?
Trenches are campaign pools with specific lock durations and return multipliers:
| Trench | Duration | Returns | Risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| RAPID | 1 day | 1.5x | Lower |
| MID | 7 days | 1.5x | Medium |
| DEEP | 30 days | 1.5x | Higher |
How much can I earn?
All trenches target 1.5x (50% return) on your sprayed capital.
Actual returns may vary slightly based on market conditions, but all trenches have the same 1.5x target ROI.
Is there a minimum deposit?
Yes. Minimums vary by trench:
- RAPID: $5
- MID: $100
- DEEP: $1,000
Can I withdraw early?
RAPID, MID, and DEEP trenches have fixed commitment periods. Early withdrawal is not possible — this is what enables the higher yields.
What happens when the trench ends?
Your position status changes to "READY" and you can claim your payout (principal + yield). Payouts are processed automatically when funds become available in the queue.
What is the queue?
The queue manages payout order. When a trench cycle completes, positions are paid out in order. Your position in the queue depends on when you sprayed. Earlier sprays = earlier payouts.
Can I spray multiple times?
Yes! You can have multiple active positions across different trenches. Each spray is treated as a separate position with its own payout timeline.
What chains are supported for deposits?
EVM Chains:
- Ethereum
- Base
- Arbitrum
- BSC (BNB Chain)
- HyperEVM
Solana:
- Solana mainnet
All EVM chains share one deposit address. Solana has a separate address.

Security
Is Spray and Play safe?
We implement multiple security measures:
- ✅ Audited smart contracts
- ✅ Multi-signature treasury
- ✅ Timelock on upgrades
- ✅ Stability buffer protection
- ✅ Bug bounty program
However, all DeFi carries risks. Never deposit more than you can afford to lose.
Can I lose money?
The platform includes mechanisms like the 10% stability buffer and rotation system to manage risk. However, all DeFi carries inherent risks including smart contract bugs, market volatility, and liquidity constraints. The target is 1.5x returns, but actual token value depends on market conditions at payout time. Only deposit what you can afford to lose.
What if a project has issues?
The rotation system is designed so that payout obligations are managed across multiple projects. If one project has issues, the platform continues operating with others in rotation. Your payout is processed based on USD value at time of spray.
What happens if the featured project ends?
Trenches operate continuously. If one project rotation ends, the trench continues with other projects. User positions complete their commitment periods and receive payouts as scheduled.
How is my payout token determined?
The specific token you receive is determined at payout time based on the current rotation. The platform targets a 1.5x USD value return. Users can hold, trade, or utilize the received tokens as they choose after payout.
Can I cancel a spray?
No. All sprays have fixed commitment periods (1, 7, or 30 days). Once confirmed, the position cannot be cancelled or reversed.
Can I partially withdraw from a position?
No. Each spray is a single position that pays out in full when the commitment period completes.
Why is my spray showing "Pending"?
"Pending" status appears when:
- The trench is in a waiting state before accepting sprays
- The position has completed its commitment period and payout is being processed
How long until my payout?
Each spray displays a countdown timer showing the remaining commitment period. After the timer reaches zero, the automatic payout typically processes within minutes.
Are there gas fees for payouts?
No separate gas fee. The platform charges a 0.5% fee on sprays, which contributes to covering operational costs including gas for automatic payouts. Users do not pay separate gas fees for receiving payouts.
What's the difference between Content Lab and Ambassador Program?
Content Lab is open to all users for content submissions. The Ambassador Program offers additional benefits and recognition for early supporters who actively contribute to platform growth. Both use the same submission system.
How do I protect my wallet?
Follow these best practices:
1. Use a hardware wallet for large amounts
2. Never share your seed phrase
3. Verify all transactions before signing
4. Revoke unnecessary token approvals
5. Use a separate wallet for DeFi
See Wallet Security for detailed guides.
What if I get hacked?
If you suspect compromise:
1. Immediately transfer remaining funds to a new wallet
2. Revoke all token approvals (use revoke.cash)
3. Contact our Security Team
4. Document what happened
Unfortunately, blockchain transactions are irreversible. Prevention is key.
Is my data private?
Spray and Play is pseudonymous:
- ✅ No KYC required
- ✅ No personal data collected
- ✅ Wallet addresses are public (blockchain default)
- ⚠️ Your transaction history is public on-chain
---
Withdrawal Wallet (Critical)
Why didn't I receive my payout?
Most common reason: No withdrawal wallet set.
Payouts are sent automatically to your withdrawal wallet. If you haven't set one:
1. Go to Profile → Withdrawal
2. Add your wallet address(es)
3. Future payouts will go there
Already set but didn't receive?
- Verify the address is correct (one wrong character = lost funds)
- Check the transaction hash on a block explorer
- Ensure your wallet supports the token/chain
Can I use an exchange address for withdrawals?
Not recommended. Exchange addresses may:
- Change without notice
- Have minimum deposit requirements
- Hold funds for compliance review
- Not support specific tokens
Use a self-custody wallet (MetaMask, Phantom, etc.) where you control the keys.
What happens if I don't set a withdrawal wallet?
Your payouts will accumulate in the platform's holding account. They won't be lost, but you can't access them until you set a valid withdrawal wallet. Set it as soon as possible to receive future payouts.
Can I change my withdrawal wallet?
Yes. You can update your withdrawal wallet anytime:
1. Go to Profile → Withdrawal
2. Click Edit on EVM or Solana
3. Enter your new address
4. Save
Important: New addresses have a 24-hour activation delay for security. Once active, new payouts will go to your new address. Previous payouts already went to the old address.
Why is my wallet showing "Activating..."?
The 24-hour activation delay is a security feature. After you add a new address and confirm via email, there's a 24-hour waiting period before the address becomes active.
Timeline:
1. Add address → Status: "Confirm email"
2. Click email link → Status: "Activating..." (24h countdown)
3. After 24h → Status: "Active" ✅
This protects you if someone gains access to your account — you have 24 hours to notice and cancel unauthorized address changes.
Can I have multiple withdrawal wallets?
Yes! The Address Book supports up to 5 addresses:
- One primary EVM address (receives all EVM payouts)
- One primary Solana address (receives Solana payouts)
- Additional backup addresses
Only the primary address receives payouts. To switch which address is primary:
1. Go to Profile → Withdrawal
2. Click on an existing Active address
3. Set as Primary
What is "Credit rewards to balance"?
This toggle lets you choose where your rewards go:
| Setting | Effect |
|---|---|
| OFF | Rewards sent to your withdrawal wallet |
| ON | Rewards added to your platform balance (for re-spraying) |
When to enable it:
- You want to compound earnings automatically
- You're re-spraying rewards anyway
- You want to avoid small wallet transfer fees
Location: Profile → Withdrawal → "Credit rewards to balance" toggle
What wallet should I use for withdrawals?
- MetaMask — Most popular, supports all EVM chains
- Rabby — Enhanced security features
- Phantom — Great for Solana (also supports EVM)
- Jupiter — Advanced Solana wallet
- Hardware wallets (Ledger, Trezor) — Best security for large amounts

Account & Wallet
How do I change my withdrawal wallet?
Go to Profile → Withdrawal, then paste your new wallet address. You can change this anytime before a payout is processed.
Can I have multiple withdrawal wallets?
You set one EVM address (for Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, BSC, HyperEVM) and one Solana address. All EVM payouts go to the same address.
What if I lose access to my withdrawal wallet?
If you have your seed phrase:
1. Install the same wallet software on a new device
2. Import using your seed phrase
3. Your address and funds are recovered
If you lost your seed phrase:
1. Create a new wallet immediately
2. Update your withdrawal address in Profile
3. Future payouts will go to the new wallet

Platform Policies
Can I have multiple accounts?
No. One account per person. Multiple accounts will be flagged and may result in bans and forfeiture of rewards. This prevents:
- Gaming the referral system
- Exploiting task rewards
- Artificial inflation of metrics
Family members can have separate accounts, but excessive same-IP accounts may trigger review.
What countries are restricted?
Spray and Play is not available in:
- Countries under US sanctions (OFAC list)
- China (PRC)
- Other jurisdictions where crypto yield products are prohibited
Users are responsible for complying with their local laws. The platform uses geoblocking for restricted regions.
Can I be banned? For what reasons?
Yes. Violations that result in bans:
- Self-referral or referral fraud
- Bot usage for tasks, raids, or content
- Multiple accounts
- Fake/stolen content in Content Lab
- Spam or harassment
- Market manipulation attempts
- Security exploits
Bans may be temporary or permanent and can result in forfeiture of earned rewards.
What happens to my funds if I'm banned?
- Your deposits and positions remain yours
- You can withdraw funds after ban (with restrictions)
- Payouts for active positions still process to your withdrawal wallet
- BP and unredeemed rewards may be forfeited
Banning prevents future activity, doesn't seize existing funds.

Advanced Topics
What happens if the platform shuts down?
Your funds are safe. The protocol is designed such that:
1. Funds are held in smart contracts, not platform custody
2. Payout obligations are backed by project reserves
3. You can interact directly with contracts if frontend is down
In an extreme shutdown scenario:
- All active positions would be paid out
- Withdrawal wallets would receive funds
- A wind-down process would ensure user funds are returned
What if there's a blockchain fork?
Trenches follows the canonical (main) chain:
- Minor forks resolve automatically
- Major forks (like Ethereum's Merge) are evaluated case-by-case
- User funds on the canonical chain are protected
Can the platform freeze my funds?
No. Once deposited, your funds can only be:
- Sprayed by you into trenches
- Withdrawn to your withdrawal wallet
- Used for automatic payouts (which go to your wallet)
The platform cannot freeze, seize, or prevent withdrawal of your funds.
How does the platform make money?
Revenue sources:
1. 0.5% fee on spray amounts
2. 50/50 revenue share with featured projects
3. Protocol-owned liquidity earnings
No hidden fees — all costs are transparent and documented.
---
